a little about me

David Ellis Rissenberg is a poet, musician, husband, and father whose artistic work is dedicated to inspiring in his readers and listeners the conviction that the world of deepest beauty and meaning is, in fact, always close at hand, existing alongside our day-to-day lives, and simply waiting to be recognized and lived into.

He and his wife, Deanna, currently live and work from their home, Bramble Hill, in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. There he spends his time in his studio, writing poetry, composing, recording, and giving recitals of classical and improvised music on his newly rebuilt 1895 Steinway Concert Grand piano (christened “Celestia”).
